STORYLINE
Bloomsburg hosts East Stroudsburg on Sunday afternoon for a chance to advance to the Atlantic Regional final of the NCAA Division II women's soccer tournament. The Huskies, the Atlantic Region's top seed, received a bye during the first round and will be playing for the first time in the tournament on Sunday. The Warriors, meanwhile, blanked Millersville by a 1-0 final during a cold downpour in the first round to advance to this point. This will be a rematch of the PSAC Championship match exactly one week ago when the Huskies defeated East Stroudsburg, 2-1, in overtime.
Â
ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg is 26-10-3 lifetime against East Stroudsburg in the all-time series. The Huskies have won both meetings between the two schools this season - 1-0 at East Stroudsburg back on October 14 and 2-1 in overtime last Sunday for the PSAC Championship.
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg captured the PSAC Championship for the first time since 2002 last Sunday and is making its first appearance in the NCAA tournament since 2010. The Huskies are 10-1-1 at Steph Pettit Stadium this season. Bloomsburg (15-2-3), ranked fifth in the country according to the final United Soccer Coaches Division II poll, enters the tournament on a 14-match unbeaten streak (11-0-3) - the program's longest since going 16-0-4 during a 20-game stretch in the 1998 season which resulted in the second PSAC Championship in the school's history. This season's conference title marks the fourth in program history tying it with West Chester University for second-most in PSAC annals. Senior
Allie Barber (Pittston Township, Pa./Pittston Area) leads the Huskies with six goals and four assists for 16 points on the season. Her two goals in the PSAC quarterfinal win over Slippery Rock gave her the second multiple-goal game of her career - first since scoring three times in a 5-2 victory at Seton Hill on September 19, 2015. She has 20 career assists which has moved her into a tie for fourth on the school's all-time list with Patricia Cobane (1992-95). Barber also has the team lead in game-winning goals with four. All told, Barber has started each of Bloomsburg's last 56 matches and has appeared in 75 games overall after not starting a single match as a freshman. She has 19 goals and 20 assists for 58 points in her collegiate career. Sophomore
Lauren Hoelke (Blackwood, N.J./Highland Regional) is second on the team with two goals and 11 assists for 15 points and earned MVP honors of the conference tournament after posting three assists including a pair of helpers in Sunday's title game. Her 11 assists on the season is tied for fifth-most in school history but just one shy of tying the school record currently held by four different players. Sophomore
Natalie Holmes (Laurel, Md./Archbishop Spalding) is the only other player in double figures as she has four goals and two assists for 10 points on the season. All told, 17 different players have at least one point on the year while 16 of those have at least one goal. Defensively, the Huskies have allowed only eight goals all season and have conceded just 62 shots on goal through 20 matches. Redshirt sophomore
Jenna Hawkins (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood) has seen most of the time in goal and is 14-2-3 with a 0.41 goals against average and an .857 save percentage. She tied the school record for most shutouts in a single season as she recorded her 12th of the year in the regular season finale against Edinboro. The record was previously solely held by Heather Hartman during the 2001 season.

SCOUTING EAST STROUDSBURG
The Warriors advanced with a 1-0 victory over Millersville during miserable conditions on Friday at Steph Pettit Stadium. Freshman Hailee Reinhardt scored her first collegiate goal with 12:56 left in regulation to propel East Stroudsburg to the second round of the NCAA tournament for the fifth consecutive season. The Warriors have advanced to the regional final in two of the past three seasons, earning the program's first Atlantic Region championship and advancing to the Elite Eight back in 2015. The Warriors have qualified for seven national tournaments overall, including six appearances under 12th year head coach Rob Berkowitz. Alex Pickett leads the team in scoring with eight goals and eight assists for 24 points while Monica Wood has chipped in with eight goals and two assists for 18 points. Four other players are in double figures in scoring - Haley Skove (six goals, three assists), Jules Sicker (four goals, four assists), Jessica Woodbyrne (three goals, six assists), and Nicole Abbott (four goals, two assists). In goal, Mauri Jackson has seen a majority of the time and sports a 14-4 overall record with a 0.81 goals against average and an .833 save percentage. She has posted nine shutouts on the year including Friday's win over Millersville.
UP NEXT
Sunday's winner will play either second-seeded West Chester or sixth-seeded West Virginia Wesleyan in the Division II Atlantic Region Final next Friday. West Virginia Wesleyan advanced past third-seeded Kutztown, 4-1, on penalty kicks following a 0-0 draw in the other first round game on Friday at West Chester.
