COMPLETE RESULTS
BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University men's swimming team won for the fifth consecutive time on Saturday afternoon with a 158-98 victory over visiting Dickinson College at the Nelson Field House Pool. The Huskies improved to 5-1 on the season while the Red Devils dropped to 3-2.

Kyle Dix (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) had a big day in the pool for the Huskies as he won four times on Saturday which included three individual events. Junior
Doug Boehme (Blue Bell, Pa./Buxmont Christian Academy) won a pair of individual events while freshman
Colton Schnars (Bellefonte, Pa./Bellefonte) and redshirt sophomore
Matt Rocchi (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) had an individual win and were part of the 200-yard medley relay team that started the day with a win. Junior
Corey Smith (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) and sophomore
Collin Hummel (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg) were the other winners on the afternoon.
Bloomsburg finished the day with 26 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) marks on Saturday - three each from Smith, Rocchi, Dix, and freshman
Jace Fry (Palmyra, Pa./Lower Dauphin). Boehme, Schnars, Hummel, senior
Philip Nawn (Media, Pa./Penncrest), and redshirt sophomore
Lucas Haywood (Camp Hill, Pa./Camp Hill) each qualified twice while redshirt junior
Nathan Mihalko (Windber, Pa./Richland), junior
Colin Bauer (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts), freshman
Carson Hilliard (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford), and senior
Matthew Schulz (Norristown, Pa./Methacton) each posted one PSAC mark.
The Huskies opened the meet by taking first and second in the 200-yard medley relay. Schnars, Rocchi, Dix, and Hummel touched the wall first with a time of 1:36.71 while the group of Nawn, sophomore
Noah Cancro (Limerick, Pa./Spring-Ford), Fry, and freshman
Pat Agnew (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove) was second with a time of 1:39.64. Boehme (10:21.26) won the Huskies' first individual victory with a win in the 1000-yard freestyle after edging Smith (10:21.83) by just under six-tenths of a second.
Schnars posted his individual win in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 52.35 - two seconds faster than Mihalko who was second. Rocchi followed with a convincing win in the 100-yard breaststroke as he posted a time of 1:00.30 - more than a second better than Dickinson's Ben Shapiro. Dix collected Bloomsburg's next two victories as he swept the sprint freestyle events. He swam 21.27 in the 50-yard freestyle and then went 47.52 in the 100-yard freestyle. Dix currently holds the fastest time in the PSAC in the 100 (46.33) and is second overall in the 50 (21.00) this season.
Smith followed with a convincing victory in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:59.38 and was the only swimmer to go under two minutes on the day. Dickinson's Graham Novitch was second with a time of 2:03.00. Smith is currently third in the PSAC in the event (1:57.32) this season. Boehme then earned his second win of the day in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:09.87 which was then followed by Dix who collected the hat trick with a victory in the 100-yard butterfly in a season-best time of 51.11. That time is currently third fastest in the PSAC this season.
Bloomsburg will take a few days off from competition as its next event is the three-day Zippy Invitational, hosted by the University of Akron, beginning on Friday, November 30.
