STORYLINE
The Bloomsburg University men's basketball hosts Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division rivals Gannon and Edinboro in the opening weekend of conference action. Tip-offs on Saturday and Sunday from the Nelson Field House are scheduled for 3:00 p.m.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg is just 2-10 lifetime against Gannon in the all-time series between the two schools. In the last meeting, the Golden Knights defeated the Huskies, 79-66, in Erie on December 4, 2016.
Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) led Bloomsburg with 23 points while Matthew Dogan paced Gannon with 25 points. Gannon's Jimmy Berger had 10 rebounds and 12 assists but missed a triple-double by four points.
Bloomsburg is 11-16 lifetime against Edinboro in the all-time series. In the last meeting, the Huskies posted a 97-84 home win over the Fighting Scots on January 9, 2017.
Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) led Bloomsburg with 27 points while
Kyle-Michael Rose (Middletown, Del./Sanford School) added 22 points in 25 minutes off the bench. Jaymon Mason led four Edinboro players in double figures with 34 points. Bloomsburg scored 59 points in the second half to break a 38-38 tie at halftime.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg snapped a two-game losing skid on Wednesday night with a 77-72 win over visiting Felician University at the Nelson Field House to even its record at 2-2 on the year. Junior
Ky Mauras (Reading, Pa./Reading) paced the Huskies with 22 points while freshman
Travis Elmore (Tobyhanna, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) recorded his first collegiate double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Sophomore
Nicholas King (Easton, Pa./Freedom) and redshirt junior
Sam Saxton (York, Pa./Central York) were also in double figures with 13 and 10 points, respectively. Mauras leads the Huskies in scoring at 23.3 points per game which is tied for third in the PSAC. He has scored at least 20 points in each of his three games played (he missed the game at Saint Francis on Tuesday night). Mauras is also fourth on the team in rebounding (5.7) and leads the team in assists (11) and steals (7). Â Elmore, meanwhile, has hit double figures in all four games to start his collegiate career and is averaging 13.0 points per game. He is also second on the team in rebounding (6.3) and leads with three blocks. King is also averaging double digits as he chips in 10.5 points per game in his first season as a regular starter. Saxton averages 8.8 points and 6.0 rebounds in his four starts. Junior
Austin Harriott (Philadelphia, Pa./Hun School) is tops on the team in rebounding at 6.8 boards per game. The Huskies are 15th in the PSAC in both scoring offense (71.8) and scoring defense (86.5). However, those numbers are skewed by their 113-59 loss at Division I Saint Francis on Tuesday. Bloomsburg is struggling from the foul line and with turnovers - the Huskies are last in the PSAC from the free-throw line (56.3%) and are last in the league in turnover margin (-4.75).
SCOUTING GANNON
Gannon enters the matchup with a 2-3 overall record and has lost back-to-back games including a 56-47 home loss to Bowie State on Wednesday night. The Golden Knights are averaging only 45 points over the last two contests. As a team, the Golden Knights are last in the PSAC in scoring at 62.0 points per game. However, defensively, they are second in the league by allowing only 61.8 points per contest. Gannon is third in the PSAC in rebounding margin (+7.8)Â but is 14th in the league in turnover margin (-2.0). Victor Olawoye is the only Golden Knight in double figures as he averages 11.0 points per game. He leads the team with nine three-pointers and is third on the team in assists (2.2). Jovante Lee posts 9.8 points per game and leads the squad with five steals. Cyril Ogbuagu leads in rebounding (5.4) while chipping in 6.6 points per contest.
SCOUTING EDINBORO
Edinboro, which plays at West Chester on Saturday afternoon, comes into the weekend with a 2-2 overall record. The Fighting Scots most recently played on Sunday afternoon and dropped a 79-61 decision at Charleston. Jaryn Simpson paced Edinboro with 20 points while Trey Staunch added 12 points off the bench. The Fighting Scots are 14th in the PSAC in scoring offense (72.3 ppg) but fifth in the conference in scoring defense (68.0 ppg). Edinboro is second in the league in rebounds per game (43.3) but only 10th in rebounding margin (+1.8). The team is dead last in the conference in field goal percentage at 39.5%. Simpson leads the team in scoring at 14.3 points per game which puts him in a tie for 21st in the PSAC. He is also tops on the team in assists (3.5) and is tied for the team lead with DeAnthony Owens in three-pointers with eight. Staunch is next at 13.3 points per game while Anthony Coleman (12.3 ppg) and Owens (11.0 ppg) are also in double figures. Six different players average at least four rebounds per game led by Turner Kurt who posts 6.5 boards per contest.
