STORYLINE
Bloomsburg steps out of conference on Tuesday to host nationally-ranked Le Moyne for a pair of games that could help the Huskies' bid for a regional berth in the NCAA tournament. The Huskies are 2-2 against ranked opponents this season after splitting a four-game series against then-#5 St. Thomas Aquinas back in early March. The Dolphins are 7-2 against teams from the PSAC this season. Bloomsburg has won eight of its last ten while Le Moyne has won five of its last six.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Le Moyne leads the all-time series against Bloomsburg, 4-1. Last season, the Dolphins defeated the Huskies, 12-3, in a nine-inning game in Thomasville, North Carolina.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Offensively, the Huskies are second in the PSAC with a .332 team batting average, trailing only Lock Haven's .344 mark. Bloomsburg currently leads the conference with a .438 team on-base percentage and also leads with a .509 team slugging percentage. Austin Edgette (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) leads the PSAC with a .495 average (52-of-105) and is currently on a 16-game hitting streak during which he is batting .564 (31-of-55). Edgette, who has hit safely in 29 of his 30 games played this season, also leads the team, or is tied for the team lead, in runs scored (38), home runs (5), on-base percentage (.589), slugging percentage (.771), and stolen bases (15). His .589 on-base percentage is tops in the conference while his .771 slugging percentage is third in the league. Shane Woelfel (Mahwah, N.J./Mahwah) is second on the team, fourth in the PSAC, with a .437 average (38-of-87). He is second on the team in on-base percentage (.509) and slugging percentage (.644) and is tied for third in home runs with four. Cole Swiger (Maple Glen, Pa./Upper Dublin) has posted a .387 average (48-of-124) which has him third on the team and tied for 12th in the league. He leads the team, or shares the team lead, in runs (38), doubles (14), and walks (23), while ranking second in hits (48), total bases (76), and stolen bases (7). Chad Cooperman (Allentown, Pa./Salisbury) and Ben Newbert (Bala Cynwyd, Pa./Harriton) also have averages above .300 on the season. Cooperman is hitting .355 (27-of-76) with one home run and 19 RBI while Newbert is batting .351 (33-of-94) with four home runs and a team-high 34 runs driven in.

On the mound, the Huskies are fifth in the PSAC with a 4.78 team earned run average. Bloomsburg is also second in the league in opponents' batting average at .251. Cooperman leads the Huskies with a 2.88 ERA in seven starts while posting a 2-2 record. He has struck out 35 batters in 34.1 innings. Nick Stoner (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) is 4-1 with a 2.95 ERA in eight appearances (seven starts). The freshman has allowed 23 hits in 36.2 innings while striking out 34. His .173 batting average against is tenth in the conference. Ashton Raines (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) is 6-0 on the season with a 3.04 ERA in ten appearances (eight starts). He has limited the opposition to a .220 average and has struck out a team-high 46 batters in a team-high 50.1 innings. Meanwhile, JJ Spehrley (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville Area) has emerged as the other weekend starter and is 6-0 with a 4.80 ERA in ten appearances (four starts). He has 26 strikeouts in 30 innings. Out of the bullpen, Trey Hinkle (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) has become a huge factor down the stretch as he is now 3-1 with four saves and a 3.50 ERA in 12 appearances this season. He has struck out 17 batters in 18 innings. Mike Warren (Garnerville, N.Y./St. Joseph Regional) and Ed Herbener (Freeland, Pa./MMI Preparatory School) have also pitched well in relief.

SCOUTING LE MOYNE
The Dolphins are 11th in the country despite playing only three of their 37 games this year at home. Le Moyne comes in with a .304 team batting average on the season. Ben Walsh leads the Dolphins with a .376 average on the year (56-of-149). Twenty of his 56 hits (10 doubles, four triples, six home runs) have gone for extra bases and he currently leads the team with 43 runs batted in. He is also second on the team in both on-base percentage (.460) and slugging percentage (.617). Andrew Taft is the main power threat for the Dolphins as he leads the team with 11 home runs while batting .358 (48-of-134). He also has a team-high 12 doubles which has led to a team-best .694 slugging percentage. He is second on the team with 38 RBI. Brian Cox is batting .350 (55-of-157) with a team-high 48 runs scored and a team-best 18 stolen bases. Camillo Spinoso is also above .300 on the year as he sports a .317 average (32-of-101) with a home run and 22 runs batted in.

On the mound, Le Moyne has a team earned run average of 3.37 and it has held the opposition to a .244 average. Josiah Gray has been sensational as he is 8-0 with a 1.17 ERA on the year. In 69.1 innings, he has allowed 52 hits (.213 opponent average) and 16 walks while striking out 74. Ryan Murphy has also excelled on the mound as he is 5-2 with a 2.26 ERA in nine appearances (eight starts). He has walked only nine batters in 63.2 innings and has struck out 51. Cody Barnes (3-1, 3.05 ERA0 and Alex Kubera (3-1, 3.92 ERA) have each appeared in a team-high 12 games. Kubera leads the team with three saves.

UP NEXT
Bloomsburg, which sits in first place in the PSAC Eastern Division by two games over second-place West Chester and Millersville, will play a crucial four-game series against the 17th-ranked Golden Rams on Friday, April 27, and Saturday, April 28. The teams will begin the four-game series at Danny Litwhiler Field on Friday and then will head to West Chester to conclude the four-game series on Saturday.
