UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Redshirt junior
Kyle Dix (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) posted the fastest time in both the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly as the Bloomsburg University men's swimming team dropped a 151-104 decision at Division I Penn State University on Saturday morning. Bloomsburg dropped to 5-2 overall and saw its five-meet winning streak come to an end.
The Huskies posted 25 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) marks on Saturday morning. Freshman
Colton Schnars (Bellefonte, Pa./Bellefonte) led the way with three conference marks while junior

Matt Rocchi (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan), senior
Philip Nawn (Media, Pa./Penncrest), sophomore
Noah Cancro (Limerick, Pa./Spring-Ford), freshman
Jace Fry (Palmyra, Pa./Lower Dauphin), Dix, and redshirt sophomore
Lucas Haywood (Camp Hill, Pa./Camp Hill) posted two each.

Doug Boehme (Blue Bell, Pa./Buxmont Christian Academy), redshirt junior

Cameron Junk (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) qualified for the conference meet once.
Dix posted the fastest time in the 50-yard freestyle as he touched the wall in 20.92 to earn the victory. Penn State's Matthew Dinunzio was second with a time of 21.13. Then, in the 100-yard butterfly, Dix again posted the best time of the morning with a mark of 50.20. Penn State's Liam Veregin had a time of 50.30 as the Nittany Lions' best swim in the event.
With Penn State swimming the final handful of events as exhibitions, the Huskies also got wins from Junk in the 500-yard freestyle (5:03.72) and Schnars in the 200-yard individual medley (1:58.62). Bloomsburg also collected a victory in the final event of the day - the 200-yard freestyle relay - as Dix, Hummel, junior
Colin Bauer (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts), and Fry teamed up for a time of 1:25.68.
The Huskies will conclude the regular season on Friday, February 1, and Saturday, February 2, when they head to Indiana University of Pennsylvania to compete in the John A. Pidgeon Memorial Invitational.
