BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University men and women swimming teams return to the Nelson Field House Pool Friday and Saturday as they host Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opponents Edinboro University on Friday November 1, at 6:00 p.m. and Gannon University on Saturday, November 2, at 2:00 p.m.
On the men's side, the Huskies posted 16 PSAC qualifiers and had 12 different swimmers earn at least one victory on Saturday morning as they rolled past visiting Susquehanna University, 198.5-63.5 on Homecoming Weekend. Bloomsburg improved to 1-2 on the season while it was the first dual of the season for the River Hawks.
Redshirt senior
Kyle Dix was third in the 200-yard freestyle (1:45.24) and then was the lead leg in the 200-yard freestyle relay team that placed second on Saturday in 1:25.38. Freshman
Luke Emig and sophomore
Pat Agnew joined Hummel as conference qualifiers in the 50-yard freestyle. Emig posted a time of 22.05 while Agnew was right behind in 22.22.
In the 500-yard freestyle, freshmen
Ryan Keenan and
Jimmy Greek joined Smith as conference qualifiers with Keenan posting a time of 5:02.94 while Greek touched in 5:04.23. Junior
Chris Gleason was the Huskies' final qualifier of the night as he posted Bloomsburg's best time in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:17.29.
Smith won the 500-yard freestyle (4:59.90), Scoboria won the 200-yard freestyle (1:47.39), and Fry touched the wall first in the 100-yard butterfly (51.77). The Huskies' other win opened the dual as the foursome of Cancro, Harrell, Emig, and Wyant teamed up for a time of 1:28.39 in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Dix also led the Huskies with three conference-qualifying times on Saturday while Smith, Cancro, Fry, and Emig added two apiece. Rocchi, Hummel, Schnars, Scoboria, and freshman

For the women, the Huskies posted 11 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifiers and had nine different swimmers earn at least one victory on Saturday morning as the Huskies rolled past visiting Susquehanna University, 189-72, at the Nelson Field House Pool on Homecoming Weekend. Bloomsburg improved to 1-2 on the season while it was the first dual of the season for the River Hawks.

Lindsay Mooney while the medley relay team was comprised of Wadsworth, Owens, Mooney, and Hubric.
Owens collected victories in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.26), the 100-yard individual medley (1:01.98), and the 50-yard breaststroke (31.68) while Hubric picked up her wins in the 50-yard butterfly (26.82), the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.27), and the 100-yard freestyle (54.49). Wadsworth touched the wall first in the 50-yard backstroke (28.35) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.40). Meanwhile, Cubbler posted a time of 5:18.54 to win the 500-yard freestyle and Jackson got under two minutes in the 200-yard freestyle after touching the wall in 1:59.79. Park claimed her win in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.48.
Owens' time in the 100-yard individual medley is the third-fastest in program history while Park's mark of 1:03.08 in the same event is sixth-best in the school's record books. Following Friday and Saturday's meet against Edinboro and Gannon, the Huskies will host PSAC opponent, Clarion University, on Friday, November 8 at 6:00 p.m.
