COMPLETE RESULTS
BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University women's swimming team got off to a fast start and earned an impressive 112-88 win over visiting Edinboro University on Friday night for the Huskies' second consecutive victory. Bloomsburg improved to 2-2 overall while the Fighting Scots suffered their first loss of the season as they dropped to 2-1. The score was closer than the night indicated as the Huskies swam the final two events of the night as exhibitions which allowed the Fighting Scots to score the final 31 points.

Becca Cubbler (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) continued a strong start to her senior season as she won a pair of individual events to pace the Huskies. Four others - senior

Courtney Hubric (Mohnton, PA/Governor Mifflin) for a meet-opening victory in the 200-yard medley relay.
The Huskies finished the night with 18 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying swims as Cubbler led the way with three. Ackerson, Mooney, Owens, sophomore
Liz Jackson (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley), and freshman
Anna Sugra (Millersville, PA/Penn Manor) had two apiece while senior
Shannon Ball (New Cumberland, Pa./Cedar Cliff) and freshman
Alicia Lehman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks) joined Hubric, Park, and Wadsworth with one each.
Cubbler won the 200-yard freestyle by more than two seconds over Jackson as she touched the wall in a time of 1:56.12 which is the second-best time in the PSAC this season. Jackson's mark of 1:58.24 is fourth-best in the league to date. Cubbler won her final event of the night in the 500-yard freestyle as she posted a time of 5:19.81 - just over four seconds ahead of Ackerson who finished with a time of 5:23.83. Cubbler still holds the best time in the conference with her swim at West Chester (5:13.13) to open the season while Ackerson's swim on Friday night proving to be sixth-best in the league this year.
Wadsworth blitzed the field in the 100-yard backstroke as she was the only swimmer to finish the event in under a minute (58.74). The time is the best in the conference by nearly a full second. Park won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.11 - the third-best time in the league - while Mooney dominated the 100-yard butterfly by touching the wall in 59.20 for the best mark in the PSAC this season. Ackerson, meanwhile, won the 1000-yard freestyle by 42 seconds as she finished the distance in 10:58.93 for the second-best mark in the conference this season. Sophomore teammate
Emily Smith (Youngwood, Pa./Hempfield) was second in the event with a time of 11:40.61.
Bloomsburg opened the night with Wadsworth, Owens, Hubric, and Park teaming up for a time of 1:47.99 to win the 200-yard medley relay by just over two seconds. The time is the best in the conference this season.
The Huskies will get right back to work on Saturday afternoon when they entertain the Golden Knights of Gannon University at the Nelson Field House Pool. The meet gets underway at 2:00 p.m.
