Box Score WILMINGTON, Del. – The Bloomsburg University men's basketball team trailed 21-3 midway through the first half, and despite a late first-half comeback, fell to Wilmington University, 96-82 Monday evening. The Huskies dropped to 5-4 on the year while Wilmington improved to 2-8 on the season with its second-straight win against a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) school.

The Wildcats led by as many as 18 late in the first half, but the Huskies cut the lead down to four. Wilmington did not relinquish its lead, however, and pushed the deficit back to 12, 45-33 before the half. With just seconds left on the clock, senior Ky Maraus got a steal and finished the fast break with a layup to trim the gap to 10, 45-35 at the break.

Coming out of the half, the Wildcats pushed their lead to as many as 19. Bloomsburg was able to pull within 10 again but could not get the lead to under double figures for the rest of the game.

Justin Anderson (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) led the Huskies with 28 points, including 16 in the second half. Anderson hit a pair of threes for the game. Redshirt junior
Max Wagner (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) finished with 17 points while junior
Peyton Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) posted 14 points for Bloomsburg while junior
Maqi Watson (Philadelphia, Pa./Mathematics, Civics, and Sciences Charter) posted nine.

The Huskies return to the court on Friday when Bloomsburg opens a weekend PSAC series against Mercyhurst at 3:00 p.m. in Nelson Field House.
