BLOOMSBURG, PA- The Bloomsburg University men's swim team tied with Clarion men's swim and dive, 118-118, Saturday evening at 6:00 pm. The Huskies competed in the Tippin Gymnasium & Natatorium for the first time in BU history.

The Golden Eagles renovation on the Tippin Gymnasium & Natatorium was completed in November of 2019, but due to COVID-19 this was the first time the Huskies have stepped foot on the campus of Clarion University since 2015.

Junior
Andy Thomas (Harleysville, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) led the way as he posted 18 points for the Huskies as well as securing first place in all three of his events. Thomas posted his first 1
st place in the 400-yard Medley relay with an overall time of 3:28.81 and an individual split in the 100 backstroke of 51.94. Thomas kept the momentum rolling in the 200- yard Freestyle with a time of 1:44.32 to earn his second 1
st place finish of the meet. He finished out a perfect three for three wins in a close race for the 200-yard Backstroke victory touching the wall over his competition by less than half a second. Thomas was joined on the winning 400-Medley Relay by junior

Senior
Dan Mueser (Mount Joy, Pa./Elizabethtown) made quite the mark this weekend as he stepped up an won the 50-yard Freestyle from the "B" heat with a time of 21:56 as well as adding 11 points for the Huskies overall. Dan finished out a great meet with a third-place finish in the 200-yard Butterfly securing a time of 2:00.54 and another overall first place finish in the 400-yard Freestyle relay finishing with a time of 3:10.45, just a second faster than their Clarion counterparts who were right behind the Huskies finishing at 3:11.62. Jace Fry (Palmyra, Pa./Lower Dauphin), and Patrick Agnew.

Nesbitt started his Saturday evening meet off with a win in the 400 Medley Relay and an individual split in the 100-yard Breaststroke of 58.36. Nesbitt secured one more first place finish in the 200-yard Breaststroke, touching the wall at 2:13.59. The Huskies swept first through third in the 200 Breaststroke, senior
Cameron Junk (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) finishing 2
nd with a time of 2:16.44 and freshman
Tanner Glatfelter (Dover, PA/Dover) finishing 3
rd right behind Junk with a time of 2:17.28.

Luke Scoboria (Birdsboro, Pa./Exeter) and Baker both posted 8 points total for the Huskies.

Scoboria went the distance once again and led the Huskies in the 1000-yard Freestyle and the 500-yard Freestyle securing earning 2
nd place in both events. Scoboria completed the 1000 Freestyle with a time of 10:13.84, nearly 4 seconds faster than his previous season-best time earned last weekend at Penn State University. He closed out his night with a time of 4:57.29 in the 500-yard Freestyle and helped his Huskies earn a third-place finish in the 400-yard Free Relay.

Baker posted two second place finishes in his individual events, 200-yard Freestyle and 100-yard Freestyle, as well as securing the number one finish in the 400-yard Free Relay. Baker completed the 200-yard Freestyle with at time of 1:47.69 and closed the 100-yard Freestyle to secure the second-place finish with a time of 48.24.
The Huskies have a break from competition as they prepare for their mid-season championship meet; the Zippy Invitational from December 3
rd- 5
th in Akron, OH at the Ocasek Natatorium.
