BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University wrestling team dominated in the Huskies first two dual meets of the season as they shut out Shippensburg University 57-0 before posting a 56-0 shutout over King's (PA) College, Wednesday evening. The Huskies hosted the two teams in a tri-match at Nelson Field House.

Shippensburg and King's squared off in the first match of the evening and Shippensburg got a major decision in the heavy weight bout to claim a 26-24 win over King's.

Bloomsburg then took to the mat against the Raiders in the second match of the evening. Junior
Bronson Garber (Millersburg, Pa./Upper Dauphin) set the tone for the evening as he won by a tech fall, 17-0, over Josh Jackson of Shippensburg. After three-straight forfeits, Marcathony Macrino got a major decision, 16-5, at 157 pounds and
Cody Harrison (Phillipsburg New Jersey /Phillipsburg) posted the first pin of the evening. Harrison pinned his opponent, John Bachar, at 2:00 in the 165-pound bout. Bloomsburg picked up another six points due to a forfeit at 174 pounds.
Bruno Stolfi (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) recorded the Huskies second pin of the night at 184 as he got the fall at 4:39 over Drake Brenize.

David Tuttle (Steubenville, Ohio/Steubenville) followed suit with a pin at 1:36 in the 197-pound bout and
Shane Noonan (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton Area) capped the match with a fall at 2:39 in the heavyweight match to seal the 57-0 victory for BU.

The Huskies picked up right where they left off against King's as Garber got a quick pin at 1:01 in the opening 125-pound match.
Michael Cassidy (New Cumberland, PA/Cedar Cliff) earned his first win of the evening with a 13-8 decision over Nick Germano at 133-pounds and
Josh Mason (New Ringgold, Pa./Blue Mountain) posted another fast pin for the Huskies as he got the fall at 1:03 in the 141-pound bout.

Cade Balestrini (Sunbury, PA/Shikellamy) earned a tech fall at 3:52 in the 149-pound match with his 21-3 win over Robert Zalenski and
Alex Carida (Hackettstown, N.J./Hackettstown) earned a quick fall at 1:03 in the 157-pound match. Carida's fall kicked off a string of six-straight to close out the match for the Huskies. Stolfi's fall at 1:22 in the 184-pound match was the quickest, outside of Carida's, in the string, while
Matt Benedetti (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan) got his first bonus-point win of the season with a fall at 6:27 in the 174-pound match.

The Huskies get back on the mats on Saturday as they travel to the Navy Classic in Annapolis, Maryland. Matches begin at 10:00 am.
