EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - Senior
Hunter Jarratt (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) led the Bloomsburg University men's track and field team at the East Stroudsburg University All-American Invite/Open as he won the 5,000-meter run, Saturday.
Jarratt paced the field of 14 runners as he won the 5,000-meter race with a career-best time of 15:21.05 and won by over 10 seconds. He currently has the sixth-best time in the 5K in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).
In the field, freshman
Noah Meckes (White Haven, Pa./Crestwood) took second overall in the javelin with throw of 43.88 meters (143' 11"). He hit his longest throw with just his third toss of the event.
The Huskies are scheduled to host the Maroon and Gold Invitational next Friday, April 23 before heading to the Lock Haven Qualifier meet on Friday, April 30 and Saturday, May 1. The PSAC Outdoor Championships are scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 6.
