MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University men's track and field team opened the 2021 outdoor season at the 38
th Millersville Metrics, Saturday. The Huskies collected four overall wins as the Huskies finished fourth overall with 93 team points.

Senior Christopher McCormick led a pack of Huskies in the 1,500-meter race as he took first with a career-best time of 4:04.95. Senior
Hunter Jarratt (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) was not far off McCormick as he came in fourth overall with a time of 4:06.99. Freshman
Matthew Carroll (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra Area) finished seventh overall with a time of 4:14.03 in his first collegiate outdoor meet.

Junior
Tyler Bailey (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg) also picked up a win for the Huskies in a crowded race as he crossed the line at 1:56.79, followed closely by freshman
Parker Jarratt (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) with a third-place time of 2:00.73. Freshman
Gabriel McKittrick (Freeland, Pa./Hazleton Area) took ninth overall as he finished at 2:08.19.

Junior
Hank Anderson (Oakland, N.J./Indian Hills) ran a career-best 15.39 in the 110-meter hurdles to take first overall for the third victory for BU. Freshmen
Malachi Langley (Chester, Pa./Chester),
Robert Wilson (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon), Bailey, and freshman
Andrew Basile (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) won the 4x400-meter relay for Bloomsburg as they crossed the line at 3:27.76.

Wilson had an impressive run in the 200-meter dash as he took fourth overall with a time of 23.40. Langley and Basile also earned individual podium spots in the 400-meter dash as Langley took fourth overall with a time of 52.09, and Basile came in eighth at 54.69.

Kevin Konyar (Winchester, Va./James Wood) took fourth overall in the 5,000-meter run as he crossed the line at 16:17.14.

In the field events, the Huskies earned seven podium spots across five different events.

Matthew Hart (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) recorded a career-best throw of 39.25 meters (128' 9") in the hammer to take ninth overall. Senior
Matt Loeh (Loyalsock Township, Pa./Loyalsock Township) also earned a spot on the podium in the hammer as he took fifth overall with a throw of 47.43 meters (155' 7") and in the discus with a throw of 45.13 meters (148' 1").

Jason Jablonowski (Simpson, Pa./Carbondale Area) captured fourth overall in the long jump as he posted a distance of 6.01 meters (19' 8.75") in his furthest jump.

Freshman
Michael Makowski (Marion Heights, Pa./Mount Carmel Area) finished 10
th overall in the shot put with a throw of 9.59 meters (31' 5.75") in his first collegiate meet, while fellow freshman
Noah Meckes (White Haven, Pa./Crestwood) earned a podium spot in the javelin with a throw of 44.64 meters (146' 5") to take sixth overall. Junior
Anthony Moser (Natalie, Pa./Mt. Carmel) took fifth overall in the javelin with a throw of 48.52 meters (159' 2").

The Huskies finished the day fourth overall with 93 team points.

Bloomsburg gets back to action next Saturday, April 10, at home at the Husky Classic, hosted at Danny Hale Field at Redman Stadium. The meet is set to get underway at 11:00 am.
