SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University men's track and field team kicked off the 2021 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday with three podium spots. The Huskies currently sit in fourth with 6.5 team points.

Matt Loeh (Loyalsock Township, Pa./Loyalsock Township) earned the first podium spot of the day for the Huskies as he took sixth overall in the hammer with a personal-best throw of 52.58 meters.

Hunter Jarratt (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) finished sixth in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 32:43.67. Junior
Kevin Konyar (Winchester, Va./James Wood) posted a career-best time of 32:53.93 in the 10K as he took eighth overall.

Freshman
Michael Gavio (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) finished 10
th overall with a time of 33:18.48, his best time of the year.

The Huskies get back to action on Friday in the second day of the PSAC Outdoor Championships. The day is set to begin for the Huskies with field events beginning at 12:00 pm and the men's 4x100-meter relay at 1:05 pm.
