SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University men's track and field team sits in eighth place after the second day of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships. With several qualifying times in the preliminaries on Friday, the Huskies are poised for multiple podium spots in the final day.

The foursome of junior
Anthony Moser (Natalie, Pa./Mt. Carmel), freshman
Robert Wilson (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon), freshman
Andrew Basile (Easton, Pa./Easton Area), junior
Hank Anderson (Oakland, N.J./Indian Hills) kicked off the track events for the Huskies as they qualified for the finals in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 44.52. The team came into the event seeded seventh overall and finished seventh in the prelims with a season-best time.

Anderson then struck out on his own and qualified for the finals of the 110-meter hurdles. Anderson took third in his heat and finished fifth overall with a personal-best time of 15.13.

Senior
Matt Loeh (Loyalsock Township, Pa./Loyalsock Township) found his way back on to the podium in the discus for his second podium appearance of the championships. Loeh took fifth overall with a throw of 45.36 in the finals. His best throw came in just his second round try.

Junior
Tyler Bailey (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg) came into the 800-meter run seeded second overall and will go into the finals in the second spot. After trailing in the first lap, Bailey hit the gas and won his heat with a time of 2:15.00 and finished second overall in the prelims. He is just 1.86 off of the first-place runner going into the finals.

The 4x100-meter relay team will open the final day of the PSAC Outdoor Championships tomorrow in the finals race scheduled to begin at 12:30 pm.
