BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University baseball team earned the 2020-21 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award after an impressive year on the field and in the classroom, as announced Wednesday afternoon.
 
The American Baseball Coaches Association is proud to recognize the over 580-member college and high school programs from across the country who have been awarded the 2020-21 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award. Teams from every level of college and high school baseball were honored with this year's award, which highlights programs coached by ABCA members that posted a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale for the entire 2020-21 academic year. Over 200 high school programs and more than 380 collegiate programs were recognized with this year's award.
 
The Huskies finished the year with a team GPA of 3.191 and were just one of three Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference teams to be honored by the ABCA.
 
Bloomsburg finished 24-18 overall and won its second-straight PSAC Championship this past spring.
