BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University men's and women's track & field teams will send 37 student-athletes to compete in 22 events at the 2022 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships, beginning Thursday.

SPRINTS
In the sprint events, the Huskies have six athletes between the men's and women's teams.
Â
Sarah Castronova (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) for the women will take on the 200-meter dash and the 400-meter dash while
Phoebe Patterson (Pompton Plains, NJ/Pequannock Township High School),
Delaney Porter (Pen Argyl, Pa./Penn Argyl Area), and
Melissa Sicinski (Fountainville, Pa./Pennridge) join her for the 400.

Castronova is set to run in the third prelim race of the 200-meter dash with a seed time of 26.25. Patterson is in the first prelim of the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:00.18. In the second prelim, Castronova comes in with a time of 58.84, 10
th best time in the PSAC this year, and Porter has a seed time of 59.37, 11
th best time. Sicinski rounds out the second prelim race with a time of 1:01.23.

On the men's side,
Tyreem Welton (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) is in heat three of the prelims for the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.66 and
Robert Wilson (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) is 20
th in the PSAC and will race in the third heat of the 400-meter dash with a seed time of 50.45.

MID-DISTANCE/DISTANCE
The mid-distance races are full of Huskies on both sides.

For the women,
Megan Gambogi (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) and
Kathryn Blair (Elma, N.Y./Iroquois) are set to compete in the 800-meter run while
Brianna Dumond (Tamaqua, Pa./Tamaqua Area),
Jaime Diedel (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn), and
Kelley Selheimer (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) are in the 1,500-meter run.
Nicole Keeley (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy) and Selheimer are also scheduled to run in the 5,000-meter race.

Blair comes into the day seeded sixth in the 800 with a time of 2:18.43 while Gambogi is seeded seventh with a time of 2:19.68. Selheimer has the 14
th-best time in the PSAC in the 1,500-meter race as she comes in with a seed time of 4:54.03. Dumond has a seed-time of 4:56.55, the 21
st best time in the conference, and Diedel carries a seed time of 4:56.92, the 24
th best time in the PSAC this season.

Selheimer will race in the 5,000-meter run as well as she has a seed time of 18:45.97, 17
th in the PSAC, and Keeley is seeded 11
th with a time of 18:34.47.

On the men's side,
Parker Jarratt (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) and
Tyler Bailey (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg) will represent the Huskies in the 800-meter run. Bailey comes in with the third-fastest time in the PSAC at 1:53.07 while Jarratt has the 14
th best time at 1:56.76.

Brayden Graham (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) will run in the first heat of the 1,500-meter finals as he is ranked 22
nd with a time of 4:03.21 and Christopher McCormick has a seed time of 4:03.86.

Kevin Konyar (Winchester, Va./James Wood) and
Michael Gavio (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) are scheduled to take on the two longest races of the weekend as they are seeded in both the 5,000-meter run and the 10,000-meter run. Konyar has the 11
th fastest time in the PSAC in the 5K at 15:09.48 while Gavio is 28
th with a time of 15:38.82. In the 10K, Konyar is sixth with a time of 31:46.59.
Ryan Duff (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth-Whitemarsh) comes in as the 14
th seed with a time of 33:05.61 while Gavio is 26
th at 33:57.52.

HURDLES
Julia Magee (Chalfont, Pennsylvania/Central Bucks South) will represent the Huskies in the 100-meter hurdles as she comes in with a seed time of 15.47.

Hank Anderson (Oakland, N.J./Indian Hills) looks to claim a medal it the 110-meter hurdles as he is ranked third entering the championships with a time of 15.09.

In the 400-meter hurdles,
Robert Wilson (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) will run in the first prelims as he enters the race with a seed time of 58.08.
Brady Dowell (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) will be next to his teammate in the prelim heat as he enters with a time of 58.79.

Graham looks to grab a spot on the podium in the steeplechase as he is ranked eighth in the conference with a time of 9:59.20.

RELAYS
The women's 4x100-meter team of
Sydney Beaverson (York, Pa./Red Lion), Castronova, Porter, and Sicinski enter the championships with a time of 49.83 while Blair, Castronova, Gambogi, and Patterson enter the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:02.34.

The men's 4x100-meter relay team of Anderson,
Andrew Basile (Easton, Pa./Easton Area), Dowell, and
Marco Olmedo (Norristown, Pa./Norristown Area) (Welton, Wilson) enter the championships with a seed time of 43.43 while the 4x400-meter relay team of Bailey, Basile, Dowell, Wilson (Jarratt, Welton) have a seed time of 3:20.67.

FIELD EVENTS
Sydney Sheaffer (Port Royal, Pa./Juniata High School) and
Ashley Blannard (Larksville, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) both will compete for a gold medal this weekend as well as improve their ranking on the NCAA performance list.

Sheaffer comes into the high jump ranked third in the conference and 38
th in the NCAA with a height oof 1.68 meters.
Isabella Horvath (Cresco, PA/Pocono Mountain East High School) is 15
th in the high jump with a height oof 1.52 meters.

In the long jump, Blannard ranks at the top of the conference with a distance of 5.79 meters while
Erin Rottloff (Bensalem, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic) is 13th with a jump of 5.41 meters which she set the Maroon & Gold Invite two weeks ago.Â
Dahlia Hosey (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) is 15
th with a distance of 5.36 meters. In the triple, Blannard has a PSAC-best and NCAA 28
th-ranked jump of 12.14 meters while Hosey is ranked ninth in the conference at 11.25 meters. Beaverson is 16
th in the conference with a jump of 10.75 meters and
Lauren O'Malley (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) also enters the weekend with a jump of 10.75 meters.

Sydney Derr (Fogelsville, Pa./Northwestern Lehigh) enters the meet with 13
th-place height of 3.25 meters.

Madison Baudille (Babylon, N.Y./Babylon) comes into the weekend ranked 19
th in the shot put in her first season with the Huskies. She has a season-long toss of 11.74 meters in a very competitive event.
Makayla Force (Berwick, Pa./Berwick), also in her first season, is ranked 15
th in the discus with a toss of 37.73 meters and
Kelly Gilmore (Colmar, Pa./North Penn) looks to make a splash in the hammer as she comes in 12
th with a distance of 45.87 meters.

O'Malley will compete in the heptathlon for BU as she enters the weekend with a career-best score of 3,383.

For the men, Anderson looks to nab a spot on the podium for the long jump as he comes in with the eighth-best jump in the conference so far at 6.95 meters.

Doug Walsh (Old Forge, Pa./Holy Cross High School) will take on the decathlon for the Huskies as he comes into the event with a season-best score of 5,225.
