BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg Huskies defeated the Shippensburg Raiders 141.5 – 119.5 (W) & 165 – 88 (M).
 
The beginning of the meet saw the women take 1^st and 2^nd place in the 200 Yard Medley Relay. The men would follow behind them taking 1^st and 3^rd.
 
A group of sophomore men would go on to take on the task of the 1000 Yard Freestyle. Drew Holmes won the event going a time of 10:18.86. Michael Huegel (Springfield, Pa./Spriingfield) would come in 3^rd with a time of 10:27.83. Lastly, Luke Willard (Orefield, Pa./Parkland) would come in 4^th with a time o 10:42.45. 
 
Maddie Osanitsch and Morgan Holmes (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) would keep the momentum going in the 200 Freestyle. They would place 1^st and 2^nd respectively. With her first-place finish, Osanitsch earned a PSAC qualifying time. On the men's side, Ethan Coffman (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) would also earn a PSAC qualifying time winning the event going 1:46.59.
 
In the 100 Yard Backstroke, both the men and women would combine for 5 PSAC qualifying times. For the women, Gabi Walsh (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) & Grace McBlain (Aldan, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) would both reach the mark getting 1^st & 2^nd in the event. On the men's side Maximilian Butkiewicz (Longhorne, Pa./Neshaminy), Chad Jones (Akron, Pa./Ephrata), and Drew Holmes would go 1-2-3 in the event all hitting the PSAC qualifying time.
 
In the 100 Breaststroke, Julia Riegel (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks South) would tie for second with Shippensburg's Charlee Shaw with a time of 1:12.27. Katie Eisenhofer (Reading, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) got 4^th in the event just .41 seconds back from 2^nd place. For the men, there were five swimmers who all obtained a PSAC qualification time.
 
We would then head into the 200 Yard Butterfly. Emma Seibel (Appleton, Wis./Appleton North) and McKenna Mizikar (Latrobe, Pa./Mount Pleasant Area) would take 2^nd & 3^rdplace for the women. For the men Jack Drake (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg Area) and Nick Zaffiro (Orefield, Pa./Parkland) would take 1^st & 2^nd. 
 
The women would go on to get their first 1-2-3 in the meet in the 100 Yard Freestyle. Rylee Wenzel (West Lawn, Pa./Wilson) took home 1^st Place, followed by Sarah Pickel (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) and Sydney Lloyd (Nescopeck, Pa./Berwick). Shortly after, in the 200 Yard Backstroke, Tony Goulstone (Hazelton, Pa./Hazelton) and Butkiewicz would both earn PSAC Qualification times. 
 
Heading into the final event, women were up by only 9 points. The 200 Freestyle Relay of Osanitsch, Lloyd, Morgan Holmes (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway), and Wenzel would secure the win on the women's side. For the men's the team of Drake, Coffman, Tyler Tinsley (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area), and Ian Hamilton (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands) would go on to win it for the mens.
 
The combined efforts on the men's and women's side move Coach Bridget Hilferty to 1-0 in her head coaching career. The Huskies return to action October 20, 2023 when they host the West Chester Golden Rams.
