FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Bloomsburg wrestling team used five bonus point wins to cruise to a 34-11 win over Sacred Heart University, Sunday afternoon. The Huskies improved to 4-9 in duals for the season.
 
Senior Bronson Garber (Millersburg, Pa./Upper Dauphin) got things going for the Huskies with the first of four-straight bonus point wins as he earned a 16-0 tech fall at 125 pounds over Mike Manta. Michael Cassidy (New Cumberland, Pa./Cedar Cliff) picked up his first-career tech fall as he defeated Ben Davoli at 133 pounds 17-0 to give the Huskies a 10-0 lead.
 
Josh Mason (New Ringgold, Pa./Blue Mountain) continued to build his impressive resume with his seventh pin and ninth bonus point win of the season at 141 pounds. Mason got the fall at 3:35 over Dakota Asuncion to give the Huskies a 16-0 lead.
 
Cade Balestrini (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) posted back-to-back pins for the Huskies as he got the fall at 6:36 over Chris Naegele at 149 pounds.
 
Sacred Heart got on the board three-straight wins, a tech fall at 157 pounds for Nick Palumbo and Aidan Zarrella earned a 4-3 decision at 165 pounds. Ryan Bolletino earned a 6-3 decision at 174 pounds to cut the Bloomsburg lead to 22-11.

Bruno Stolfi (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) got the Huskies back on track with a pin at 1:55 in the 184-pound bout over Owen Ayotte. The Huskies pushed their lead to 28-11 with two matches to go.
 
Tanner Culver (Hartland, Mich./Hartland) held off a surge from Logan Michael at 197-pounds to earn a 15-10 decision and give the Huskies a 31-11 lead. Shane Noonan (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton Area) closed out the match with a 9-4 decision over Marc Berisha at 285 pounds to seal the 34-11 win.
 
The Huskies return to action next Saturday, February 11, as Bloomsburg travels to Cleveland State for a Mid-American Conference match at 1:00 pm. The Huskies continue the weekend at Kent State on Sunday for a 12:00 pm match.
