Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BLOOMSBURG, Pa – The Bloomsburg baseball team dropped game one of a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) doubleheader, 13-1, at Bloomsburg Area High School on Sunday afternoon. Game two was suspended in the bottom of the fifth inning due to snow and hail.

Game 1

Millersville (13-3, 3-0 PSAC) struck first on a two-RBI double from Keegan Soltis in the top of the first. The Marauders tacked on another run in the third with an RBI-single from Matt Williams.

Bloomsburg (2-7, 0-3) answered in the bottom of the third with an RBI-single to right field from Eli Riley (Harrisburg, Pa./Mercersburg Academy) to bring Brady Gibble (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) across the plate.

MU regained the momentum in the fifth with a pair of runs to make 5-1. The visitors brought four runs around the bases in both the sixth and seventh inning, including a three-RBI triple to deep centerfield from Mark McNeely in the seventh.

Will Dean (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville Area) started on the mound and was handed the loss. The sophomore pitched five innings, struck out three, and allowed seven hits.

Alex Mykut remains undefeated with his fourth win of the season. He went the distance while striking out 10 batters and allowing just two hits and one run.

Game 2

Millersville found itself in scoring position early with the bases loaded and two outs thanks to a single and two hit batters. James Scott (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central Regional) hit his third batter of the inning to walk in the Marauders' first run. John Seibert singled to third base to bring home two runners and extend the lead to 3-0.

The Huskies responded in the bottom of the frame as Josh Wilson (Clinton, Md./Bishop McNamara) lined one through the middle of the field, scoring Riley from second.

MU took back its three-run lead in the second, scoring on a wild pitch.

The game remained deadlocked at 4-1 until the fourth inning, as the Marauders were able to plate two more runs. Millersville scored again in the fifth with an RBI-single to centerfield.

After on-and-off snow throughout the contest, a mixture of snow and hail caused the game to be suspended in the bottom of the fifth with Millersville leading 7-1.

The game resumed on a sunny, Tuesday afternoon at Bloomsburg Area High School.

Riley concluded his at-bat by reaching on a walk, but the Maruaders posted back-to-back strikeouts to retire the side.

A groundout to Wilson for Sabater helped to set the maroon and gold up for a double play to send the Huskies back up to bat.

Bloomsburg loaded the bases on a single and two walks before walking in a run. That would prove to be the last score of the game as Millersville took the victory 7-2.

Wilson went 2-for-4 at the plate, posting an RBI and a run. Riley, Gibble, Brady Ebbert (Etters, Pa./Red Land) and Wyatt Metzger (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) each recorded one hit in the contest.
