GREENWOOD, Ind.. - Five members of the Bloomsburg softball team earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Honors as announced Tuesday afternoon.

The five selections include juniors Bella Culp (Harrisburg, Pa/Central Dauphin), Kelly Eberly (Purcellville, Va/Homeschooled), Mia Nemeth (Drums, Pa/Marian Catholic), Callie Sowers (Irwin, Pa/Hempfield Area) and sophomore Taylor Kranzley (Northampton, Pa./Northampton).

Culp garners her second CSC Academic All-District honor while also receiving Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete, PSAC Scholar-Athlete and D2 ADA Scholar-Athlete recognition following the 2022-23 season with Bloomsburg softball. The professional sales and marketing major led the Huskies during the 2024 campaign in batting average (.359), hits (69), on-base percentage (.418) and triples while serving as one of three Huskies to start all 57 games on the season.

Eberly, a special education and early education double major, becomes a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree. The junior is a two-time Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete, a two-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete and a one-time D2 ADA Scholar-Athlete recipient. The left-handed pitcher finished the season with a 6-5 record with a 4.27 earned run average and 75 strikeouts in 78.2 innings pitched.

Kranzley earned her first CSC Academic All-District distinction following a stellar second-year campaign. The sophomore criminal justice major earned second-team All-PSAC East honors after seeing marked improvement in every major category in year two at Bloomsburg. Patrolling second base, Kranzley finished the season as one of the best defensive players in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) while leading the Huskies in doubles (17) and holding down a spot in the middle of the lineup. Kranzley received her first PSAC Athlete of the Week honor on April 1 this season. The Northampton, Pa. native received Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete and PSAC Scholar-Athlete honors following her freshman season.

Nemeth, a staple at center field for Bloomsburg this season, earned her first CSC Academic All-District nod following her junior campaign. The secondary English education major started 54 games on the year for the Huskies, finishing with a career-high 22 RBI. Nemeth is a two-time Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete and PSAC Scholar-Athlete honoree, also receiving D2 ADA Scholar-Athlete recognition last season.

Sowers concludes her strong junior season from the bump with her second CSC Academic All-District honor. The international business major was one of the best pitchers in the region during the 2024 season, garnering first-team NFCA and D2CCA All-Region honors. The junior received her third All-PSAC East nod in as many seasons with her second first-team bid and was named PSAC East Pitcher of the Week twice this season. Sowers continues her ascension in the Bloomsburg Softball record books, sitting in the top 11 in several categories, including strikeouts (2nd, 700), appearances (5th, 110) and innings pitched (6th, 593.2) and victories (11th, 58). The Irwin, Pa. is a two-time Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete, a two-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete and a D2 ADA Scholar-Athlete (2022-23) honoree.
