KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's cross country team had a strong showing at the 2024 DII/III Cross Country Challenge, Friday evening.
Peyton Riley (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) led the Huskies with a 13
th-place finish in the 8K race and Bloomsburg finished sixth with 202 team points.

The Danville, Pa. native ran his fastest time at the DII/III challenge in his career as he came in 13
th at 27:11.21. During his freshman campaign, Riley ran a 27:55.1 race and last year completed the 8K run at 28:53.9. The 27:11.21 time is also Riley's fastest time since he ran a 26:19.4 at the LHU Invitational last season.

Sophomore
Peter Tepper (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) was the second Husky across the finish line as he took 41
st overall with a time of 28:26.33, just three seconds off of his career-best 8K time at Bloomsburg. Tepper posted his career-best time of 28:23.9 at the LHU Invite last year.

Freshman
Tyler Shunk (Fredericksburg, Pa./Northern Lebanon) finished 51
st overall with a time of 28:53.15 in his first 8K race as a Husky and classmate
Ellis Aikey (/) finished 70
th at 29:44.37 in his first 8K.

Senior Richard Loughran took 75
th overall with a time of 29:57.72 to round out the scoring runners for Bloomsburg. Freshman
Braeden Arnold (/) came in 86
th with a time of 30:41.04 and junior Zachary Ryan finished 87
th overall with a time of 30:48.54.

The Huskies take next weekend off and get back on the course on Saturday, September 28 as they travel to the LHU XC Open/Invitational on the campus of Lock Haven.
