KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Junior
Jack Drake (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg Area) powered the Bloomsburg men's swimming team to a strong showing at Kutztown on Saturday, as the Huskies recorded multiple event victories and PSAC-qualifying performances in a tri-meet against the Golden Bears and Edinboro.

Drake was electric in the sprint events, winning the 50 freestyle in 21.06 and the 100 freestyle in 45.80, both comfortably under PSAC standards. He also anchored Bloomsburg's B-relay to a victory in the 200 freestyle relay, teaming with Tommy Houck,
Cole Verga (Lawrenceville, N.J./Lawrence), and
Brayden Kemezis (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) for a time of 1:26.15 – the fastest mark of the day.

The Huskies showed their depth early, taking second and third in the 200 medley relay with teams of
Ian Hamilton (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands),
Constantin Buga (Philadlephia, Pa./Northeast),
Adler Zawodny (Hellertown, Pa./CCA), and Matthew Boehme (1:39.09) and
Nick Lennon (Wilmington, Del./Saint Marks),
Sean Witmer (Millmont, Pa./Mifflinburg),
Connor McClurkin (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy), and
Tyler Tinsley (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) (1:39.43).

Hamilton continued his standout day by winning the 200 freestyle (1:46.80, PSAC) and 100 backstroke (52.40, PSAC), while Boehme placed second in the 200 free (1:47.59) and runner-up again in the 100 free (47.53). Sophomore
Adler Zawodny (Hellertown, Pa./CCA) won the 100 butterfly (54.04) and placed 10th in the 200 IM, with
Nick Zaffiro (Orefield, Pa./Parkland) capturing the 200 IM title in 1:58.67.

Bloomsburg also dominated the distance events, led by
Ethan Coffman's (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) runner-up PSAC performance in the 1000 freestyle (10:19.30) and
Michael Huegel's (Springfield, Pa./Spriingfield) top-three finish in the 500 freestyle (5:00.41).

In the breaststroke, senior
Andrew Holmes (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) and classmate
Sean Witmer (Millmont, Pa./Mifflinburg) went 1-2 in the 100 breaststroke, touching in 57.14 and 59.23, respectively, both under the PSAC cut.
The Huskies will return to the pool in two weeks when they travel to Clarion for a PSAC meet on Friday, November 14.Â
