CLARION, Pa. - The Bloomsburg men's swimming team lost to Clarion 129-112 on November 14.
The men's team opened with the 400-yard medley relay. The team of Matthew Boehme,
Sean Witmer (Millmont, Pa./Mifflinburg),
Adler Zawodny (Hellertown, Pa./CCA) and
Tyler Tinsley (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) finished second with a time of 3:35.33. The team of
Collin Nash (Abington, Pa/Abington), Conner McClurkin,
Nick Lennon (Wilmington, Del./Saint Marks) and
Cole Verga (Lawrenceville, N.J./Lawrence) finished fourth with a time of 3:40.32.
The next event was the 1,000-yard freestyle.
Michael Huegel (Springfield, Pa./Spriingfield) finished second in the race at a final time of 10:19.04.
Max McCloskey (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) took fourth at 10:28.54.
Jack Drake (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg Area) took first in the 200-yard freestyle with a final time of 1:41.37.
Ethan Coffman (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) took fourth in the race, ending in a 1:47.08 time. Tommy Houck was close behind taking fifth with a time of 1:47.40.
Ian Hamilton (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands) competed in the 50-yard freestyle and took second at 21.55.
Daryn Ginter (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg Area) was close behind taking third place with a final of 22.27.
Boehme took the victory in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:11.41.
Nick Zaffiro (Orefield, Pa./Parkland) also had a good race, taking second at a time of 4:16.10.
Constantin Buga (Philadlephia, Pa./Northeast) completed the race fourth with a time of 4:25.95.
Drake continued to dominate, taking first in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:54.87. Zawodny joined Drake, taking second at a 2:01.59 time. Lennon took fourth at 2:07.24.
Hamilton swam well in the 100 freestyle race. He placed first with a final of 47.53. Ginter placed fourth at 48.63.
Houck placed second in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:59.24. Verga would join Houck, placing fourth at 2:03.28.
Brayden Kemezis (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) took dominated the 500 freestyle race. He took first at 4:52.90. Coffman would follow, taking second at4:56.20.
Luke Willard (Orefield, Pa./Parkland) placed fifth in the race at 5:07.56.
Zaffiro had a time of 2:11.44 in the 200 breaststroke, placing second. Buga swam to fourth place at 2:13.06, followed by Witmer placing fifth at 2:14.99.
In the 400 freestyle relay, the team of Tinsley, Coffman, Zawodny and Kemezis took second with a time of 3:11.90.
The Huskies men's swimming team will swim in the F&M Invite in Lancaster, Pa. on November 21, 22 and 23 all starting at 10 a.m.
