LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – After a successful first season with the Bloomsburg women's cross country, Olivia Magagna (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter Strasburg) was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Freshman of the Year by the league office on Thursday afternoon.

Magagna ended the 2025 cross country season with an 87th place finish at the NCAA Women's Cross Country National Championships in Kenosha, Wisconsin on November 22. The Lancaster native was the first freshman to run at the national meet for the Huskies since 2014 and the highest finisher for Bloomsburg since 2015.

The freshman claimed victory in her collegiate debut, winning the Doug Watts Open in Edinboro with a time of 18:06.2. She went on to take top ten placements in four more races during the season.

Magagna earned All-Atlantic Region first team and All-PSAC first honors by placing eighth at the NCAA Atlantic Regional meet with a mark of 21:42.0 and second at the PSAC Championships with a time of 22:22.6.

It is the second PSAC Freshman of the Year in program history for the Huskies as Magagna joins Hannah Boudreau, who won the award in 2014.
