SELINSGROVE, Pa, - The Bloomsburg men's outdoor track & field team had a strong opening weekend to the 2025 Outdoor Season with 17 top-10 finishes, including one event win, and three PSAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship qualifying marks.

Peyton Riley (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) had a pair of top-10 finishes as he won the 3000-meter steeplechase with a PSAC qualifying time of 9:30.94, his career best time at Bloomsburg by five seconds. Riley finished fifth overall in the 800-meter run with a career-best time of 1:58.22.

Tyler Leitzel finished ninth in the 200-meter dash with time of 22.29 and posted his PSAC qualifying time in the 100-meter dash with an 11
th-place finish at 10.89.
Finnegan Purtle (/) took eighth overall in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.17 while Jalik Hill narrowly missed a top-10 finish with a time of 52.03 to take 11
th overall.

Sophomore
Peter Tepper (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) posted a career-best time in the 1,500-meter run as he took fifth overall with a time of 4:10.57 and
Caden Dufrene (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run High School) took eighth overall in the 5000-meter run with a time of 16:34.58. Dufrene also took 14
th in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:16.04.

Justin Herrmann took fourth in the 110-meter hurdles with a career-best time of 15.15. Herrmann also finished 31
st in the 100-meter dash at 11.44 and 58
th in the 200-meter dash at 24.36.

William Burdett took seventh in the 400-meter hurdles at 59.51 and 12
th in the 110-meter hurdles at 16.92.

Shaheem Hill (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) finished seventh in the high jump with a height of 1.79 meters (5' 10.5").

Dillon Steffy (Elliotsburg, Pa./West Perry High School) cleared 3.85 meters (12' 7.5") to take sixth in the pole vault while
Andrew Kane (/) finished eighth with a height of 3.70 meters (12' 1.5"). Kane also finished 18
th in the 110-meter hurdles at 18.46 and posted a career-best time of 23.53 to take 43
rd in the 200-meter dash.

Daniel Ajuz had a strong day jumping for the Huskies as he took third overall in the long jump at 6.79 meters (22' 3.5") and fourth in the triple jump at 13.39 meters (43' 11.25"). Landon Kester finished ninth overall in the triple with a jump of 12.51 meters (41' 0.5").

Kaleb Zimmerman (Lancaster, Pa./Garden Spot) finished sixth overall in the shot put with a toss of 13.41 meters and 14
th in the discus with a throw of 35.48 meters (116' 5"). Zimmerman finished 24
th overall in the hammer with a throw of 32.29 meters (105' 11").

Brian O'Conor took 10
th in the javelin with a throw of 49.91 meters (163' 9") while Matthew Staffin just missed a top-10 finish with a throw of 49.72 meters (163' 1").
Jackson Baldini (Mechanicsburg, PA/Mechanicsburg Area) tossed a 47.98 meters (157' 5") to take 14
th overall.

The Huskies return to action next Saturday when they head to Millersville, Pa. for the Millersville Metrics on April 5.
