GREENWOOD, Ind. – Four members of the Bloomsburg women's tennis team were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District ® honorees on Tuesday. The four selections for the Huskies include senior
Lexi Quackenbush (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel), junior
Jen McDonald (Melbourne, Australia/Brentwood Secondary College) and sophomores
Lia-Sophie Seele (Mülheim, NRW, Germany/Luisenschule) and
Dasha Nakonechna (Spain/IOC).
It is the third academic all-district distinction for Quackenbush and the first for McDonald, Seele and Nakonechna.
Quackenbush is a senior criminal justice major who earned a 4.00 GPA during her time at Bloomsburg. The Pittsburgh native was crowned the 2025 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women's Tennis Champion Scholar. Quackenbush finished the season with an 8-8 record in doubles action while amassing five wins from the No. 1 singles spot.
Seele, a psychology major, claims a 4.00 GPA after a strong sophomore season. The Mülheim, Germany native posted an impressive 11-1 singles record while in singles matches this season. Seele also team with Nakonechna as the Huskies' primary No. 2 doubles pair as the duo finished the year with an 11-3 record.
Nakonechna is a sophomore psychology major who earned a 3.98 GPA. The
Spaniard excelled in doubles matches alongside Seele with a 12-3 record while picking up seven wins in singles bouts, primarily in the No. 5 spot.
A junior nursing major with a 3.69 GPA, McDonald had a breakout season with the maroon and gold. The Melbourne, Australia native posted a 10-2 record in singles competition while going 7-5 in doubles bouts.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 3, 2025 (women) and June 4, 2025 (men).
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
