BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – After a stellar 2024-25 season, the Bloomsburg men's tennis team was tabbed sixth in the final edition of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Atlantic Regional rankings. Additionally,
Denis Dementev (Saint-Petersburg, Russia/) was ranked ninth in the region in singles competition while the doubles duo of
Vishesh Patel (Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India/Asia English School) and
Sergio Dilan (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Cedin) were picked tenth in the region.

The Huskies capped off its 2024-25 campaign in memorable fashion by making its first appearance in the NCAA tournament since 2012 and finishing as the PSAC Runner-Up. Bloomsburg posted a record of 11-4 and going 4-1 in conference play.

Four members of the maroon and gold earned All-PSAC honors while
Alejandro Higuera (Ciudad Obregon, Mexico/Colegio Weston) was named PSAC Freshman of the Year.

Two years into his Bloomsburg career, Dementev continues to build an impressive resume. The sophomore earned a ninth-place ranking in the Atlantic region after going 10-3 as the Huskies top singles competitor. He ended the season on a six-match win streak with his final two contests of the season going unfinished in the PSAC Finals and the NCAA Tournament.

Dilan and Patel went 8-6 in doubles matches together and were picked tenth in the Atlantic region. The duo served as the No. 1 doubles team throughout the season and earned All-PSAC Second Team honors for the second year in a row.

Three other PSAC teams claimed spots in the top ten, with Edinboro at No. 2 being the only school in the conference to rank higher than the Huskies. Millersville and Kutztown ranked ninth and tenth, respectively.
