NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Bloomsburg women's lacrosse team earned additional postseason awards as the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its 2025 Academic Honor Squads and Honor Roll Wednesday afternoon. As a team, the Huskies were named an Academic Honor Squad for the ninth-straight season, and six players earned Academic Honor Roll accolades.

Individually, seniorsÂ
Mia Boccippio (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough)Â andÂ
Sophia Zelasko (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) and juniors
Alexis Guzylak (Corning, N.Y./Horseheads),
Drew Palumbo (Flanders, N.J./Mount Olive),
Danielle Preston (Harleysville, Pa./North Penn), and
Mikayla Viola (Allentown, Pa./Emmaus) were named to the IWLCA Honor Roll. It is the second-straight honor for Zelasko and Boccippio and the first for Palumbo, Preston, Viola, and Guzylak.

Boccippio and Zelasko were named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honorees, the second for Boccippio and first for Zelasko, while all six student-athletes were honored by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference as scholar-athletes following the 2024-25 school year.

The IWLCA honored 588 student-athletes from 83 different institutions on the 2024-25 IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

The Huskies earned the Academic Honor Squad accolade for the ninth time in the last 10 years, as no academic awards were given by the IWLCA in 2020. Following the 2024-25 academic year, the Huskies posted a team GPA of 3.374.

The IWLCA has named 383 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2024-25 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.

The Huskies ended the season 7-10 with a 3-9 slate in PSAC East play.
