Baseball Picked Sixth in the PSAC Eastern Division Preseason Coaches Poll

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Bloomsburg baseball program was ranked sixth in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division preseason coaches' poll on Thursday afternoon.
 
The Huskies finished the 2025 season sixth in the PSAC Eastern divisions with a 21-28 record while going 10-18 in conference play.
 
Mike Collins returns for his 21st season as the manager for the maroon and gold. The winningest coach in program history enters the year with 422-453-2 record at Bloomsburg. Collins is joined by an all-new coaching staff this season including graduate assistant Evan Evans, and volunteer assistants Cody Walter and Julian Rickert.
 
East Stroudsburg sits atop the Eastern Division poll after collecting six first-place votes. Millersville earned a pair of first-place votes to place second overall while West Chester rounded out the top three. In the Western Division poll, Seton Hill received six first-place votes, outpacing Slippery Rock (two first-place votes), as the Rock was voted No. 2 for the second consecutive season. IUP placed third in the western division.
 
Bloomsburg returns six batters that played a minimum of 25 contests in 2025. Among the returnees for the Huskies is All-PSAC First Team designated hitter Mike Miller (Lafayette Hill, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh). Miller led Bloomsburg with eight home runs and a .624 slugging percentage. The maroon and gold's pitching lineup includes seven players who made at least 10 appearances on the bump for the Huskies in 2025.
 
The maroon and gold start the season with a doubleheader at Holy Family on Saturday, February 21. Bloomsburg's home opener is slated for Sunday, March 8 as they host Penn State Berks in a 12 p.m. doubleheader. The Huskies open conference play on Friday, March 20 as they host Shepherd.
