Aiden Murphy (Mountain Top, Pa./Wyoming Seminary) earned National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) All-Atlantic Regional honors as announced by the organization on Friday afternoon.
Â
Russo landed a spot on the All-Atlantic Region First Team as an outfielder after a stellar debut season with the Huskies. The redshirt-sophomore was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Athlete of the Year, finishing the season with a .419 batting average, 65 hits, 56 runs and 36 stolen bases.
Â
Russo became the first PSAC Athlete of the Year for the Huskies since John Stillo in 1997, while also breaking Stillo's single-season stolen bases record from the same year.
Â
Murphy earns an All-Atlantic Region nod on the second team as a starting pitcher, going 7-3 on the mound this season. The Mountain Top native finished the season with a 3.92 ERA while posting 57 strikeouts across 59.2 innings pitched for the maroon and gold. Murphy held opposing batters to a .236 batting average this season.
Â
Russo and Murphy are the first all-region honorees for the Huskies since Wyatt Metzger's second team nod as a designated hitter in 2023.
