MILLERSVILLE, Pa. –
Grant Russo (Sugarloaf, Pa./Hazleton Area) and
Aiden Murphy (Mountain Top, Pa./Wyoming Seminary) continue to rack up postseason awards as the duo earned Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Region honors as announced by the organization on Monday afternoon.
Â
Russo, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Athlete of the Year, claimed an All-Atlantic Region First Team nod after a stellar debut season in the maroon and gold. The redshirt-sophomore ended the 2026 campaign with a .419 batting average, 65 hits, 56 runs and 36 stolen bases. Russo's 36 stolen bases broke the Huskies' nearly 30-year-old, single-season record set back in 1997.
Â
Murphy landed a spot on the All-Atlantic Region Second Team as a starting pitcher, going 7-3 on the mound this season. The Mountain Top native posted a 3.92 ERA and recorded 57 strikeouts across 59.2 innings pitched for the maroon and gold. Murphy held opposing batters to a .236 batting average this season.
Â
Russo and Murphy are the first Huskies to earned D2CCA All-Region honors since Wyatt Metzger in 2023.
