INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Bloomsburg baseball team was ranked fifth in the final edition of the NCAA Atlantic Regional Rankings released by the NCAA on Wednesday afternoon.

The final of three editions sees the Huskies remain in its fifth place ranking after a 3-1 week against Mansfield to close out the regular season with a 24-19 record in the region.

The rankings remained mostly the same from the previous edition with Shepherd taking over the eighth spot from IUP. West Chester claimed first with a 36-9 record while Seton Hill sits second with at 37-7 in the region. East Stroudsburg (35-13) claims third while Millersville (32-16) sits one spot ahead of the Huskies in fourth.

Below Bloomsburg is Frostburg State (31-15 in-region) who is the sole representative of the Mountain East Conference (MEC). Shippensburg (29-19) is seventh while Shepherd rounds out the rankings in eighth (27-22).

Only six teams from the Atlantic region qualify for the NCAA tournament this season.
