Men's Swimmers Defeat Susquehanna, 126-77

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Brandon Sherbo (Etters/Red Land) earned a pair of individual wins as the Bloomsburg University men's swim team registered a 126-77 victory at Susquehanna University on Friday night.
 
With the win the Huskies improve to 3-2 overall on the season.
 
Sherbo captured wins in both the 500 and 1000 yard freestyle events, posting a PSAC qualifying time of 4:51.86 in the 500 free and claimed victory in the 100 yard free with a mark of 9:58.61, good for another conference qualifying standard. Mark DiLemmo (Doylestown/Central Bucks East) and Cole Underwood (Collegeville/Perkiomen Valley) also posted PSAC times in the 1000 yard free, touching in 10:13.11 and 10:19.15 respectively. 
 
In the 50 yard freestyle, Bryan Masilotti (Vineland, N.J./Vineland) won with a PSAC qualifying time of 21.75, just ahead of teammate Eric Usbeck (Lake Ariel/Wallenpaupack Area) who also qualified for PSACs at 21.96.
 
Nick Angeny (Philadelphia/Archbishop Ryan) gave the Huskies another win in the 200 yard IM with his time of 2:02.34, another PSAC mark.
 
Bloomsburg swept the top three spots in the 100 yard butterfly – Jake Harner (Philadelphia/Father Judge) won with a conference qualifying time of 53.09, ahead of teammates Aaron Cancro (Limerick/Spring-Ford) who finished second at 54.99 and A.J. Brady (Wilmington, DE/Delaware Military Academy) who was third at 55.10.
 
Alex Otero (Allentown/Parkland) touched first in the 100 yard backstroke at 55.24 and Bill Urban (Philadelphia/Archbishop Ryan) was second at 55.45, both PSAC qualifiers.
 
The team of Cancro, Harner, Usbeck and DiLemmo also won the 200 yard medley relay with their time of 1:37.99.
 
Bloomsburg hits the water again for competition at the IUP Invitational on Jan. 31.
