Box Score BOX SCOREHAZLETON--The Bloomsburg University men's basketball team opened its 2014-15 season with a 79-56 win over Penn State-Hazleton on Friday night.
The Lions were up 9-7 early in the first half when the Huskies went on a 15-2 run to go up on top 22-11. Alssen Saintilus scored eight points in the run for Bloomsburg.
Leading 41-25 at the break Bloomsburg broke the game open by starting the second half on a 14-2 run with
Alex Prislupsky (Olyphant/Mid-Valley) netting five points and
Moustapha Noumbissi (Upper Darby/Delaware County Christian School) adding four points. Later a Prislupsky three-pointer gave the Huskies their biggest lead of the game at 60-30.
Four Bloomsburg players finished in double figures, led by 19 points from
Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton).
Alssene Saintilus (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) chipped in with 16,
Moustapha Noumbissi (Upper Darby/Delaware County Christian School) added 15.
Alex Prislupsky (Olyphant/Mid-Valley) rounded out the group with 10.
The Huskies, 1-0, will be back in action on Saturday at 7 p.m. hosting Adelphi University.
