Selheimer Finishes Fourth Overall at Lock Haven Invitational

The senior was the second-highest finisher among attached runners and the best among PSAC representatives in the race.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Bloomsburg women's cross country team finished 11th at the Lock Haven Invitational Saturday morning.

Kelley Selheimer (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) was among the best at the race Saturday morning, finishing in fourth place overall at the event. The senior finished second among attached runners and the best among constituents from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) in the event, finishing the 6K race in a time of 21:35.7. Selheimer improved her season time in the distance by over a minute and a half.

Amanda Kelly (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) was the second runner to cross the line for the Huskies, finishing the day's race in a time of 22:50.6. The junior bested her 6K time this season by over two-and-a-half seconds. In third for Bloomsburg with a time of 23:38.8 was Alyssa Cunningham (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area), crossing the line in 88th place overall. The second-year runner improved her time on the year by two seconds. 

Jaime Diedel (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) and Meah Eshelman (Bedford, Pa./Bedford) rounded out the top-100 finishers for the Huskies in the event, with Diedel taking 94th and Eshelman finishing 99th. Diesel posted a season-best mark of 23:43.6 in the race, while Eshelman crossed in 23:46.1 to improve her top time on the season.

Josephine Reed (/) and Melina Turner (Wharton, N.J./Morris Hills) were the final two point scorers on the day for Bloomsburg. Reed saw an improved and career-best mark in the 6K after crossing the line in 23:50.0. Turner saw her season-best mark improve by over a second after finishing the race in 24:09.6.

The Bloomsburg women's cross country team is back in action on Saturday, October 12, at 11:30 a.m. at the Lewis Crossover in Romeoville, Ill.
