GREENWOOD, Ind. - Three members of the Bloomsburg women's swimming team were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District ® honorees on Tuesday, including
Catie Strayer (York, Pa./Central York),
Madison Osanitsch (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg), and
Morgan Holmes (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway).
It is the second honor for both Osanitsch and Strayer while it is the first career honor for Holmes.
Morgan Holmes (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) advanced to the Academic All-America ballot as well. The CSC membership will vote on the All-America ballot and those teams will be announced on April 23.
Osanitsch had a 3.76 GPA in speech-language pathology and is currently pursuing her master's degree. The Shippensburg, Pa. native had an impressive finish to her storied career at Bloomsburg with a strong showing at the PSAC Championships. Osanitsch finished ninth overall in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:45.75. She finished eighth in the A Finals of the 200-yard free style with a time of 1:54.23 and seventh in the 500-yard free with a time of 5:10.67. Osanitsch took eighth in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:52.90. She helped the 400-yard freestyle relay team to a win with a school-record time of 3:25.46. The 800-yard freestyle relay team took fifth with a time of 7:49.07.
Strayer is an early childhood education major with a 3.69 GPA at Bloomsburg. Strayer finished 21
st overall in the 400-yard IM at the PSAC Championship meet with a time of 4:47.98 and 13
th in the 200-yard fly with a time of 2:13.05. The senior took 24
th overall in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:16.65.
Holmes is a 4.00 GPA student in secondary education at Bloomsburg. She has been equally impressive in the pool during her sophomore season. Holmes took seventh overall in the 50-yard free with an NCAA 'B' Cut time of 23.60, a career-best swim, and helped the 200-yard free relay to a first-place finish at 1:33.73. The relay team went on earn a spot at the NCAA championships with a school-record swim of 1:33.21 in a time trial. Holmes won the B Finals of the 200-yard free with a time of 1:53.98 and won the 'B' Finals of the 100-yard back with a time of 57.84. She took third overall for an individual PSAC All-Conference honor in the 100-yard free with an NCAA 'B' cut time of 51.22. Holmes joined Osanitsch to a first-place finish in the 400-yard free relay with a time of 3:25.46. The 200-yard freestyle relay team finished 18
th overall with a time of 1:33.73 at the NCAA Championships.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's Swimming & Diving teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 23, 2025.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
