BLOOMSBURG – The Bloomsburg University men's swim team will battle against West Chester on Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Nelson Field House pool beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Last season the Huskies had one their best season ever under head coach
Stu Marvin. The men's team posted a record of dual 7-2 and placed second at the PSAC championships for the third time in four years.

The Huskies graduated eight seniors last year, so captains
Eric Usbeck (Lake Ariel, Pa./Wallenpaupack),
Ryan Paisley (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton Area), and
Sam Feiser (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) are looking to take the next step and lead the team. Seniors
A.J. Brady (Wilmington, Del./Delaware Military Academy) and
Pat Stasio (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) are also looking to have great seasons as they finish off their collegiate careers.

Bloomsburg is looking to improve in the areas of middle distance and distance events.
Logan Winchester (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) led the team in these categories last season. Joining Winchester will be juniors
Alex McCullough (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) and
Frank Dello Buono (West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin), along with freshman
Doug Boehme (Blue Bell, Pa./Buxmont Christian Academy),
Michael Fiscus (Ocean City, N.J./Ocean City) and
Liam Schroeder (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville).

The Golden Rams, who have won 18 straight PSAC titles, are 2-2 record so far this season.

The Golden Rams lost their meet to Lehigh, 173-121, on Oct. 21.

In the meet Michael Oliver won both backstrokes for West Chester, and Dan Roy captured both diving competitions. Shota Nakano finished second behind Oliver in both backstrokes. Thomas McCormick finished in first place in the 200-Individual Medley Friday. Five-time Division II national champion Victor Polyakov placed second in three-separate races – the 1,000-freestyle (9:57:80), 100-backstroke (57.78), and the 500-free (4:42:08). Dylan North and Timothy Tomsuden went second and third in the 200 butterfly. West Chester won five of the 10 events in the meet.
A year ago West Chester beat the Huskies, 156-81.
