YORK, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's swimming team sits in fourth with 89 team points after the first day of the 2023 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Swimming Championships.
Andy Thomas (Harleysville, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) defended his 50-yard free crown for the third-straight season.

Thomas is a back-to-back-to-back champion as he defended his title in the 50-yard free for the third-straight season. After making the A finals during his prelim swim in the morning, Thomas hit an NCAA B Cut with his first-place time of 20.11. Joining Thomas in the A finals was
Andrew Holmes (Monroeville, PA/Gateway) with a seventh-place time of 20.73.

In the B Finals,
Pat Agnew (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove) took fourth and 12
th overall with a time of 21.13 and
Dan Mueser (Mount Joy, Pa./Elizabethtown) finished 13
th (fifth in his heat) with a time of 21.34.

Luke Scoboria (Birdsboro, PA/Exeter) got the first points of the day for the Huskies as he took sixth overall in the 1,000-yard free to open the finals Wednesday night. He finished with a time of 9:35.11, 16 seconds faster than his seed time.
Michael Huegel (Springfield, PA/Spriingfield) finished 14
th overall with a time of 9:53.49 after swimming in the opening heat in the morning. He dropped nine seconds off of his seed time.

Tony Goulstone (Hazelton, PA/Hazelton) took seventh in the B Final of the 200-yard IM and 15
th overall with a time of 1:54.60 to add to the team points for Bloomsburg.

Thomas, Agnew, Scoboria, and Holmes capped the night with a 6:44.77 in the 800-yard free relay to finish fourth overall.

The Huskies get back in the pool this morning as the prelims kick off at 10:00 am at the Graham Aquatic Center.
