LANCASTER, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's swimming team jumped into first after the second day of the 2024 Franklin & Marshall Invitational. The Huskies hit not only a season-best time in every individual race, but every individual swimmer posted a PSAC qualifying time during Saturday's finals.

Once again
Nick Zaffiro (Orefield, Pa./Parkland) led the way as he posted a 4:00.94 in the i400 IM, narrowly missing an NCAA 'B' cut but winning the finals in the process. Matthew Boehme was not far behind as he took second at 4:07.19 and
Constantin Buga (Philadlephia, Pa./Northeast) took fifth at 4:11.22.
Chad Jones (Akron, Pa./Ephrata) finished 16
th overall with a time of 4:18.41 and
Luke Willard (Orefield, Pa./Parkland) finished 21
st at 4:18.19.

Jack Drake (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg Area) had another impressive day in the pool as he finished third overall in the 100-yard butterfly at 50.33.
Andrew Holmes (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) took seventh at 50.99 and
Connor McClurkin (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) finished 15
th at 51.99.

A pack of Huskies scored for Bloomsburg in the 200-free as
Ian Hamilton (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands) took third overall at 1:42.41 and
Ethan Coffman (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) finished eighth with a time of 1:48.21.
Michael Huegel (Springfield, Pa./Spriingfield) swam in the B finals and finished seventh in his final but 15
th overall at 1:45.99 and
Adler Zawodny (Hellertown, Pa./CCA) finished second in the C Final and 18
th overall at 1:44.83.

McClurkin collected his second best time of the year as he took second overall in the 100-breaststroke at 56.09.
Sean Witmer (Millmont, Pa./Mifflinburg) was not far behind as he took fourth at 56.88.
Tanner Glatfelter (Dover, Pa./Dover) finished the A finals at 57.88 to finished sixth. Buga swam a 59.01 to take 13
th overall in the B Finals.

Chad Jones (Akron, Pa./Ephrata) closed out the individual races with a sixth-place finish in the 100-back with a time of 52.70 and Holmes was seventh at 53.77. Verga took 16
th overall at 55.76.

The team of Holmes, Drake, Hamilton and
Ethan Coffman (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) finished second in the 800-free relay with a time of 6:58.92 while Willard, Verga, Huegel, and Zawodny took ninth at 7:10.25.

Holmes and, McClurkin, Drake, and Hamilton took fourth overall in the 200-medley relay with a time of 1:33.13 while Jones, Witmer, Glatfelter, and Coffman finished nineth overall with a time of 1:34.91. Verga, Buga,
Tyler Tinsley (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area), and
Josh Mansfield (/) took 20
th with a time of 1:37.75.

The Huskies close out the Franklin and & Marshall Invite on Sunday, November 24. The prelims start at 10:00 a.m. followed by the finals that evening.
