YORK, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's swimming team are currently in fourth place with 77 team points after the first day of the 2025 PSAC Swimming Championships, Monday.
Junior
Nick Zaffiro (Orefield, Pa./Parkland) dropped 1.52 off his prelim time as he took fifth in the 'A' finals of the 200-IM while
Tanner Glatfelter (Dover, Pa./Dover) finished fifth in the consolation finals with a time of 1:54.51.
Jack Drake (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg Area) finished fourth overall in the 50-yard free with a time of 20.53 in the 'A' finals while
Ian Hamilton (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands) took fifth in the consolation finals with a time of 21.33.
Junior
Michael Huegel's (Springfield, Pa./Spriingfield) swim in the 1,000-yard freestyle in the morning was fast enough to catapult him into seventh overall in the race following the final timed final Monday evening. Huegel finished first overall in the first three heats in the morning with a time of 9:47.17.
Brayden Kemezis' (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) time of 10:08.62 was good enough for 15
th overall.
The 800-yard freestyle relay team of
Ethan Coffman (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area), Huegel,
Adler Zawodny (Hellertown, Pa./CCA), and Kemezis took sixth it the final race of the evening with a time of 6:58.71.
The Huskies get back in the pool tomorrow morning for Day Two of the PSAC Championships. The prelims of the 100-yard butterfly, 400-yard IM, and 200-yard freestyle are set to get started at 10:00 a.m. from the York YMCA Graham Aquatics Center.
