LANCASTER, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's swimming team finished first overall at the 2024 Franklin & Marshall Invite behind another impressive day on the final day of the meet.
Andrew Holmes (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) earned his first NCAA 'B' cut of the season as the Huskies posted a season-best in every individual race and in the final relay.

Shortly after witnessing his sister, Morgan Holmes, get her NCAA 'B' cut in the 100-yard freestyle,
Andrew Holmes (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) completed the feat himself. Holmes won the 100-free with the second-best time in the PSAC currently of 45.17.
Jack Drake (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg Area) took second in the event his season-best time of 45.57, missing his NCAA cut by just .34.

Maximilian Butkiewicz (Longhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) opened Sunday's finals with a ninth-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:55.82 while
Cole Verga (Lawrenceville, N.J./Lawrence) took 12
th overall at 1:57.95.

The Huskies impressed in a very quick 200-yard breaststroke final.
Connor McClurkin (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) took second overall with a season-best time of 2:03.96 while
Constantin Buga (Philadlephia, Pa./Northeast) finished third overall at 2:05.77.
Sean Witmer (Millmont, Pa./Mifflinburg) finished sixth at 2:07.71.
Tanner Glatfelter (Dover, Pa./Dover) won the C final with a time of 2:07.22 to take 17
th overall and Henry Schueren finished 20
th with a time of 2:14.01.

Nick Zaffiro (Orefield, Pa./Parkland) had another impressive swim in the 200-yard fly as he finished fourth in with time of 1:53.17. Drake took sixth with a time of 1:53.93. Matthew Boehme took eighth with a time of 1:55.79.
Adler Zawodny (Hellertown, Pa./CCA)Â finished 23
rd overall with a time of 2:02.01 while
Michael Huegel (Springfield, Pa./Spriingfield) took 24
th at 2:02.13.

Huegel got right back in the pool for the 1,650-yard freestyle and took fourth overall with a time of 16:34.34.
Ethan Robertson (/) took 15
th overall with a time of 17:24.55 while
Luke Willard (Orefield, Pa./Parkland) finished 16
th with a time of 17:26.69.

The 400-yard freestyle relay team of
Tyler Tinsley (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area),
Ian Hamilton (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands), Glatfelter, and Boehme posted their best time of the season as they took fifth with a time of 3:05.98, currently the fourth-best time in the PSAC. The team of Willard, Huegel,
Josh Mansfield (/), and Verga took 17
th at 3:16.90.

The Huskies have some time off as they train through the month of December before heading to Florida for their annual training trip. Bloomsburg gets back in the pool against another team on January 17 when the Huskies welcome IUP to the Nelson Field House Pool for a dual meet.
