Shannon handled the kick-offs in 2009 and was one of the conference's most consistent kickoff delivery men. He will battle for the field-goal and extra-point kicking position and looks to continue to improve his hang time. Coming off an excellent off-season, Shannon will use his exceptional strength and fierce competitive spirit to be a major asset to the special teams.

2010: Played in all 13 games for the Huskies...Kicked off four times for 247 yards with a average of 61.8 yards against Ashland (9/4)...Kicked off seven times for a total of 420 yards and recorded one tackle against Clarion (9/11)...Averaged 60 yards on nine kickoffs for a total of 545 yards against IUP (9/18)...Averaged 63 yards on eight kickoffs with one touchback against Millersville (9/25)...Kicked off seven times with an average of 63 yards in win over East Stroudsburg (10/02)...Averaged 62 yards on 9 kickoffs in the 52-14 win over Cheyney (10/9)...Recorded one tackle against Shippensburg (10/16)...Averaged 61 yards for kick offs against West Chester (10/23)...Averaged 60.2 yards per kickoff and had three touchbacks...
