Bloomsburg Athletics

Garson was one of the best wrestlers in the history of the Bloomsburg program. As a freshman in 1960, he finished fourth at heavyweight to help the Huskies to the NAIA national championship. In 1961, he won the 191-pound championship before coming back to repeat as national champion in 1962. He also helped the Huskies to their second national title in three seasons that year. As a senior, Garson ended his career by winning the heavyweight championship in front of his home fans at Bloomsburg.
