Dale Sullivan was a two-year member of the wrestling team for the Huskies after transferring from Penn State. In his two years with Bloomsburg he posted a record of 17-5 while competing at four different weights. He helped Bloomsburg go undefeated for the first time in school history with a 10-0 mark in 1959-60 along with claiming back-to-back PSAC titles in 1959 and 1960. Sullivan was a two-time PSAC placewinner capturing the 130-pound title in 1960 and finishing second in 1959. Sullivan also helped the Huskies to the 1960 NAIA national championship winning the national championship in at 130-pounds that same year.

After leaving Bloomsburg he coached wrestling and baseball at Minersville and Mifflintown and was the assistant wrestling coach at Lycoming College for three years. He also served as the assistant track coach at Williamsport High School and coached the first wrestling team at Williamsport Community College. He was a PIAA wrestling official for 10 years and is a member of both the District 4 and the Hughesville High School Wrestling Halls of Fame.
After earning BS and MS degrees at Bloomsburg University, Sullivan also earned a Doctor of Business Administration degree from Kent State University. In a nearly 40-year Academic career, he was a Professor at The University of Toledo and served 10 years as the Director of Graduate Programs in Business and four years as Management Department Chairman.
