Sircovics, nicknamed "Bloody" due to his tenacity on the field, was the first Bloomsburg All-American football player selection in 1937 along with being named to the All-East football team that year. Following graduation, he played semiprofessional football and served as an assistant football coach at Berwick High School from 1949-67 and Hazleton High School from 1968 to 1973. He co-organized the Berwick Athletic Booster Association, which coordinated Little League baseball and midget football in the Berwick Area.
