Lambrinos was an All-Conference selection in football and earned an honorable mention spot on the all-state team in 1951. The Huskies posted a 32-2 overall record during his four-year career, including the only undefeated seasons in team history (1948 and 1951). Lambrinos was also a catcher for the Huskies' baseball team and went on to play professional baseball and semiprofessional football.
