Glen McNamee was a four-year starter on the football team. He was a two-time All-PSAC East second team selection and graduated as the school's all-time leader in passing yards with 6,950 and in touchdown passes with 57. (He now ranks third in passing yards and TD passes).

McNamee's single best game was in 1996 when he threw for 341 yards against Shippensburg on 19 of 28 passing for four touchdowns, while his season total of 2,533 yards in 1996 ranks as the third-best mark in school history.  As a senior he threw for more than 200 yards in eight of 12 games. He finished his career as a starter with a record of 31-6-1 along with three PSAC East titles and one NCAA playoff berth. Twice in his career he finished in the top 10 in NCAA Division II passing efficiency and finished the 1994 season with the third-best completion percentage for a single season at 59.9 percent (130-217). For his career McNamee finished 465-813 (57.1 percent) for 6,950 yards and 57 TD's. McNamee was also the 1995 Bloomsburg Outstanding Underclassman Athlete of the Year and the 1997 Outstanding Senior Male Athlete of the Year.

Following graduation McNamee accepted a coaching job at Lenoir-Rhyne University and spent five seasons with the Bears where he coached quarterbacks and wide receivers, while also serving as the team's Academic Coordinator.  In 2002 he and his wife moved back to Pennsylvania after he accepted a teaching job and assistant coaching position at Central Dauphin High School in Harrisburg.  In the 2002 season the Rams won the AAAA District championship under head coach George Chaump, a BU Hall of Famer.  In the following three seasons, McNamee served as quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator.  In 2006 he was named the head coach at Central Dauphin.  In eight seasons he has twice been named Coach of the Year in the Mid-Penn Conference Commonwealth Division and guided the Rams to Mid-Penn Commonwealth Championships four times. He was also named Pennsylvania AAAA Coach of the Year in 2011 after the Rams won the school's first-ever football state championship. He also enjoyed the experience of coaching in the Big 33 Classic when he was selected to serve on the PA staff in 2009. He has a career record of 76-24, winningest head coach in school history.  In his time as head coach, he also started the Community Connections Program, a program designed to encourage football players to volunteer.  In the past eight years, his players have participated in almost 300 community service events for over 6,000 volunteer hours collectively.  The Rams have also produced many college football players during McNamee's tenure with 35 of his former players are on college football rosters this fall alone.

McNamee and his wife, Carol, have two daughters - Marissa and Madison.
