Tracy Price Splain

Tracy Price Splain was a standout swimmer for the Huskies earning All-American honors all four years. In addition she was a nine-time PSAC champion. At the NCAA championships Price Splain finished ninth as a freshman in the 200-fly, sixth in the 100-fly as a junior and capped her career as the NCAA runner-up in both the 100- and 200-fly as a senior. In addition she also earned several individual All-American honors in the 100 and 200 fly as well as part of several relay teams for Bloomsburg.

At the PSAC championships Price Splain was also dominant for the Huskies winning nine PSAC titles. As a freshman she won the 100-fly, the 200-fly, the 200-IM and the 400-IM. As a sophomore she repeated as the 200-fly champ and then as a junior she made it a three-peat as the 200-fly as well as regaining her 100-fly and 200-IM titles. As a senior she won her third 100-fly title at the PSAC championships. She earned PSAC All-Conference Team honors all four years. In 1989, Price Splain was awarded the PSAC Female Athlete of the Year.

Despite nearly 20 years removed from swimming for the Huskies, Price Splain is still listed in the top 10 in four categories for the Huskies. She is number two in the 100-fly (left as the school record holder) with a time of 57.80, is fifth in the 200-fly, seventh in the 200-IM and seventh in the 400-IM.

Following graduation Tracy furthered her education to become an elementary teacher. She is in her 16th year in the Donegal School District where she teaches sixth grade. After being Co-President of the Donegal Education Association for two years, Price Splain remains a highly involved member. She is married to Steve Splain and has a daughter, Katie, and a son, Shawn. Over the years Tracy has coached swimming on various levels. Currently she volunteers with Diplomat Swimming, where her daughter swims in the winter. This summer, Tracy will return to Locust Heights swim team as head coach, where both of her children swim.
