Marcus Nilsson was a four-year member of the men's tennis team at Bloomsburg. He finished his career with a mark of 99-35, including winning 28 consecutive matches as a junior. He was a 12-time PSAC Champion (four single/four doubles/four team). He also earned All-American honors four times (1996, '97, '98, '99) and finished the 1998 seasons ranked 19th nationally in singles play. He was the national winner of ITA Rookie Player of the Year and was the Arthur Ashe Sportsmanship Award winner his senior year. In doubles play he teamed with Rob Dixon and was ranked third and fourth, twice each at the end of the season. The duo finished with a record of 115-22 for their four years. Nilsson was named the 1998 Danny Litwhiler Award Winner as the Underclass Male Athlete of the Year and the PSAC Player of the Year after going 26-1 in singles play and 32-3 in doubles play. He was also both a Bloomsburg and PSAC Scholar-Athlete.
 
After graduation Nilsson returned to Sweden and has worked at Mercedes-Benz Sweden/Denmark since 2000 in different positions within marketing.
