Souders was one of the first All-Americans in softball for the Huskies, earning All-American honors in 1982, 1983 and 1984. She was part of the two PSAC Championship teams that twice placed second in the NCAA East Regional. During her four seasons, the Huskies were 114-17, a winning percentage of .870. Souders ERA of 0.25 led the nation in 1982, while career mark of 0.34 is third best all-time in NCAA Division II. During her career, Souders won 74 games, recorded 635 strikeouts and pitched a school-record 46 shutouts in her 610 career innings.
